Candle Care
A short guide on how best to look after your Whiffyy candles.
-
- Burn for a minimum of one hour, or until the melted wax reaches the edge of the glass, and a maximum of three hours at a time. Burning under one hour can cause tunneling, and burning for too long can cause the wick to move.
- Always light your candle in a well-ventilated room, away from flammable items. Do not burn them around fans or if there is a draft, which can cause uneven burning or sooting.
-
- When there is 1cm of wax left, stop burning your candle
- Trim your wick to 0.5cm before burning each time (when the wax is set) to prevent smoking, sooting or high flames.
- Recentre the wick after blowing or snuffing your candle out. If the wick moves too far it could cause the vessel to crack and the candle to tunnel.
